Asmin Singez was born in Germany, and grew up in Diyarbakir, Turkey. After graduating from Anadolu University, she began teaching at a private educational institution. In 2004, she participated in the International Playwright Project I. One of her works entitled "Kisir Dongu (Vicious Cycle)" was read and presented in the International Playwright Festival in 2007. In the following year, Singez worked for the Atatürk Short Film Project as a scenario supervisor. In 2009-2012, under the name "Diyarbakir Notlari (The Notes of Diyarbakir)", she wrote critiques of cultural and art events in Diyarbakir. In 2012, Singez worked for the poetry project "Bana Siirden Ellerini Uzat” to help earthquake victims of Van.
