Sanem Öge was born in Istanbul in 1977. In 1994, she started acting at the Studio Oyuncuları Theatre, which is directed by Şahika Tekand. After graduating from the Department of Art History in the Faculty of Letters at Istanbul University, Öge pursued her master′s degree in Art History at Istanbul Technical University. She also completed her second master′s degree in Acting at the Department of Film and Drama of Kadir Has University in 2009. Öge worked as a journalist for a while: she wrote, edited, and translated many articles at publication houses such as Alfa, Everest, and Can. She has also continued acting professionally at the Studio Oyuncuları. In addition, she has acted many important roles at the Ve Diğer Şeyler Company, Tiyatro Oyunevi, and Istanbul State Theatre. She has worked with famous theater directors such as Şahika Tekand, Mahir Günşiray, Müge Gürman, Yeşim Özsoy Gülan, and Özen Yula. Öge has received many awards for her acting. In 2013, she won the "Best Actress Award" for her role in the film "Şimdiki Zaman" (Present Tense) in the 24th Ankara International Film Festival.
