Toron Karacaoğlu was born in Mudanya in 1930. He moved to Istanbul in 1947 to pursue his interest in theater and began working as an actor at the community center in Beşiktaş and Büyükdere. He studied at the Istanbul Municipality Conservatory for three years. Karacaoğlu joined the City Theatre as a full time actor and has acted in more than 150 different plays. He retired from the City Theatre in 1980. He then taught theater within the German Cultural Senator in Berlin. After he returned to Turkey in 1985, Karacaoğlu acted and taught at private associations such as the Tiyatrokare and the Tiyatro Kedi. In 1989, he worked at the City Theatre again. He has also performed in many films and TV dramas. In addition, Karacaoğlu has acted as a voice actor for Cüneyt Arkın’s characters in many films such as “Malkoçoğlu” and “Kara Murat.”
