Yiğit Sertdemir was born in Izmir in 1979. After finishing at Fen high school, he entered the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 1995. In the same year, he started acting at the Gümüşsuyu Theater Group. In 1996, he joined a theater group at the Fine Arts Department of Istanbul Technical University. He founded the Altıdan Sonra Theater Group with some members in 1999. Sertdemir started performing professionally at the Sadri Alışık Theatre. In 2002, he joined Istanbul Şehir Tiyatroları (Municipality Theatre). In the same year, he left Istanbul Technical University and transferred to the Theater Department at Yeditepe University. In 2006, he worked as a director and actor in a radio theater program, which was produced by the Altıdan Sonra Theater Group for the Açık Radio. Currently, Sertdemir works as an actor and director at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatre. He also works as an actor, playwright, and director at the Altıdan Sonra Theater Group. He has written many plays such as “Bekleme Salonu” (2004), “Ortak Bölenlerin En Büyüğü” (2005), “Öldün Duydun mu?” (2006), “444” (2007), “Medeniyet Tiyatrosu” (2008), “Faili-i Müşterek” (2010), and “Surname 2010” (2010). He has been awarded for his plays. Sertdemir opened the Kunmaracı 50 theatre for the Altıdan Sonra Theater Group.
