Ali Kalktı

Ali Kalktı was born in Edirne, Keşan district. He moved to Bursa with his family in 1958. After finishing primary school, he worked in several businesses. He studied construction electrician and worked at several companies. Since his youth, Kalktı liked to concern himself with woods and wooden carving. As a hobby, he made wooden carving after finishing his profession. He retired from his business in 2000, and then concentrated on his hobby. Kalktı developed skill of making wooden carving works such as calligraphies, accessories furniture, sculpture, models and cages. To date, he has designed and made over 50 different cages, and developed their new models. All of his works are original and unique, and sold for the purpose of collections, rather than for birds.
