Asude Zehra Öztürk

Asude Zehra Öztürk was born in Istanbul in 1969. In 2001, she started learning illumination art (Tezhip) from Saime Rikkat Çelebi. Between 2003 and 2004, she participated in illumination classes and learned illumination art from Cahide Keskiner and Zehra Çekin at the Turkish Decorative Arts Education Center, Parliament General Secretariat of the Department of National Palaces Education Center at the Yıldız Palace. Between 2004 and 2006, she studied illumination art with Dr. Münevver Üçer at ISMEK. Since 2008, Öztürk has worked in illumination art at the Classical Islamic Works Foundation. She has participated in many group exhibitions. In 2008, she received mention award in the ISESCO Second International Miniature and Illumination Art Competition, which was organized by the Algeria Ministry of Culture.
