Aziz Dönmez

Aziz Dönmez was born in Erzincan in 1953. He began working beside master craftsman Abdullah Şap in 1964. Dönmez founded his workshop in Kuledibi, Istanbul in 1976, after working with his mater for 12 years. Since then, he has repaired old furniture such as frame works, consoles and mirrors using golden foils. Dönmez has also restored historical fountains and headstone writings.
