Azize Vildan Pirim was born in Erzurum in 1960. She graduated from the Department of History in the Faculty of Letter at Erzurum Atatürk University. Pirim started making ceramic designs in 1995. She learned illumination works at Prof. Dr. Süheyl Ünver’s course in the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and miniature works from Nusret Çolpan. She also attended marbling classes at the Hikmet Barutçugil’s workshop for 4 years. In 2004, she served as a founding member in the Yalova Nakışhanesi Association. She made miniatures for books, which were prepared on the occasion of the International Conference on Medicine. Pirim has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and went to Japan and Canada for exhibitions with other three artists representing Turkey. |
