Billur Çağlar

Billur Çağlar was born in Istanbul. She graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Eskişehir Anadolu University. In 1990, she started learning miniature art at Cahide Keskiner’s workshop. Between 1992 and 1993, Çağlar attended an illumination class, which was taught by Mamure Öz and Semih İrteş at Topkapı Palace Museum and received a certification. In 1996-1998, she continued learning miniature painting from Yakup Cem and illumination art from Dr. Münevver Üçer at Mimar Sinan University. Çağlar has six solo exhibitions, and has participated in many group exhibitions in Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, and Konya. Some of her works can be seen in the catalogue, which was published by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Currently, Çağlar continues drawing illumination art at her workshop in Istanbul.
