Duran Çoban was born in Sivas in 1961 and finished primary school. He came to Istanbul in 1977 and started working at a jewelry workshop in 1979. Çoban founded his own jewelry workshop with Recep Yükseker in 1992. They make silver accessories which are inspired by antique jewelry of Anatolian civilizations.
