Ersin Yıldızhan

Ersin Yıldızhan was born in Istanbul in 1967. In 1998 she started studying illumination art (Tezhip) at the Turkish Decorative Arts Course, which belongs to the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University. She received her professional license in illumination art in 2001. Yıldızhan pursued her study on Turkish Arts and learned papercutting from Dürdane Üniver and Müjgan Başköylü at the Turkish Decorative Arts Education Center, which belongs to the TBMM National Palaces Directorate. She received another professional license in papercutting in 2007. Yıldızhan has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey. She currently teaches papercutting with Dürdane Ünver at the Mim Art Academy.
