Birge Şahin

Birge Şahin was born in Çınarcık, Yalova in 1961 and finished primary school in Çanakkale and Bartın. Since her childhood, she wanted to go to art school but could not continue her studies after finishing middle school because of illness. As her health improved, her interest in art did as well. She continues to make embroideries by using the traditional technique “Çınarcık embroidery” in Çınarcık for 20 years.
