Hikmet Aynur Erdem

Hikmet Aynur Erdem was born in the Cevizli village, district of Şavşat, Artvin in 1937 and finished primary school. She has been making local folk dolls “dodopal” and introducing them for 20 years. She cuts antique cloths and sews these pieces together to make traditional Şavşat costumes, which have been continued over 100-150 years. She then dresses her dolls in these costumes, decorating with traditional accessories.
