Zeynep Karacan

Zeynep Karacan was born in Yeşilyurt, Muğla in 1971. She started weaving textiles to help her family when she was six years old. Her family had woven textile to meet their needs until 1992, but they decided to make it as a business. Old master craftsmen trained young generations and they have worked together. The traditional way of weaving was carried on in this way. Karacan finished at a Vocational High School for Girls and learned how to weave and embroider. Currently, she continues weaving traditional regional textiles in Muğla.
