Gülçin Anmaç was born in Germany and graduated from the department of Liberal Arts at Istanbul University. She is currently working for a consulting agency. She began her illumination studies in 1996 with the illumination and miniature painter, Cahide Keskiner. She attended a class of decorative Turkish miniature painting at Kadıköy Aziz Berker Public Library which was supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and received a certification in 2002. In 2002, she began her miniature painting studies under Prof. Dr. A. Süheyl Ünver Embroidery Place incorporate with department of Deontology and History of Medicine of Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty of Istanbul University with the architecture and miniature painting artist Nusret Çolpan. She has been Nusret Çolpan’s assistant during her education and art activities and received an authorization in 2008. She has painted miniatures for the film “Göldeki Bereket” which is prepared within the context of Doğa Bel’s project “Environment-friendly Salt Production in Tuzla Lake” and for the documentary film prepared by TRT, “Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi” which illuminates Mevlana’s life. Anmaç has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey. She continues her studies in the department of Deontology and History of Medicine of Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty of Istanbul University.
