Gülseher Kahraman

Gülseher Kahraman was born in Ağrı in 1969. She completed primary, middle and high school in Izmit. She graduated from the Department of Traditional Turkish Art in the Faculty of Vocational Education of Gazi University. She learned marbling (ebru) from Fuat Başar, the artist of calligraphy and ebru. Kahraman started teaching marbling art at the Kocaeli Province Cultural Center and some other municipalities. She also learned illumination (Tezhip) from Sabiha Koç and Zehra Çekin under the supervision of Semih İrteş, Mamure Öz and Cahide Keskiner. She took a miniature class from Nusret Çolpan as well. As of today, she has learned miniature from Gülbün Mesara. She has had solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. She received the certification of the artist from Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
