Gülsemin Velidedeoğlu

Gülsemin Velidedeoğlu was born in Çorum in 1976. She graduated from the Department of kindergarten teaching at Selçuk University. In 2003, she started learning marbling (Ebru) from Gülden Gürdamar at the Yavuz Selim İSMEK. She also worked in marbling with Alparsan Babaoğlu and Sadrettin Özçimi. In 2010, Velidedeoğlu won first place in the Ananevi Turkish Marbling Mustafa Esat Düzgünman Ebru competition. Her “battal ebru” work was published in the catalogue of traditional Turkish book arts “Today’s Master craftsmen.” In 2011, she received first place in a competition, which was organized by ISMEK. Currently, Velidedeoğlu continues to work with Gülden Gürdamar at the Mavera Art Workshop in Istanbul.
