Halide Dursun was born in Erzincan in 1978. She graduated from Anadolu University. After working at a private company for 13 years, she started learning marbling art (Ebru) from İsmail Dündar at the Eyüp Cafer Paşa Medresesi. She continued learning marbling from Fuat Başar at the traditional handicrafts classes in the Suleymaniye Library. In 2009, Dursun obtained her professional license in marbling art (Ebru) from İsmail Dündar. In 2008 and 2009, she taught marbling at Cihangir and Firuzağa primary schools and Üsküdar Republic Anadolu Vocational High School. Currently, Dursun works at her workshop and teaches marbling at Fener Greek High School in Istanbul.
