Halil Maraşlıoğlu

Halil Maraşlıoğlu was born in Kahramanmaraş in 1965. He began working as an apprentice in 1975 and became a master craftsman in the field of wood carving. He trained 15 apprentices as well. He also designs by himself. He improves his new motifs and carves them on wood at his own workshop. He founded his workshop in 1990 and continues to make wood carving works. Maraşlıoğlu is recognized as a state craftsman by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
