Hamdi Levent Seyhan

Hamdi Levent Seyhan was born in Trabzon in 1968. He finished Trabzon High School in 1985. During his education, he worked as an apprentice under the master craftsman and his father, İlhan Seyhan, to learn how to make Trabzon Hasır Bracelets on weekends and holidays. Hamdi Levent also learned the work of Trabzon Telkâri from the master craftsman and his uncle, Kadir Seyhan. Later, Hamdi Levent Seyhan became a master on making jewelry with gold and silver thread. He researched and learned “Kazzaziye” technique, and began making jewelry of Kazzaziye with the support of his wife, İlknur, who is an engineer. With the support of his wife, Seyhan developed the technology and succeeded in creating the work of Kazaz, which is knitted with 0.08 micron fine gold and fine silver wire thread.

Seyhan has received numerous awards and merits from many institutions including the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. As of today, he continues to make and sell his work at his company.
