Hüseyin Öksüz

Hüseyin Öksüz was born in Konya in 1945. He began learning calligraphy from Hamid Aytaç. In 1970, Öksüz graduated from the Istanbul School of Pharmacy. In the next year, he received a certificate of sulus-nesih calligraphy from Hamid Aytaç. In 1990, Öksüz received an honorary doctorate at Selçuk University, and in the following year, he completed his doctoral degree, Proficiency in Arts, at Selçuk University. In 2002, he received a certificate of talik calligraphy from Prof. Uğur Derman. In 2013, Öksüz received the Culture and Arts Grand Award from the Turkish President Abdullah Gül in Ankara.
