İmdat Kalaycı

İmdat Kalaycı was born in Trabzon in 1970. He grew up in his family’s business, which was chaplets making. With his brother Feyzullah Kalaycı, İmdat succeeded to his father Mustafa Kalaycı’s craft, and has been making chaplets using organic materials such as amber, rhinoceros’s horn, teeth of hippopotamus, and tortoiseshell more than 14 years. Kalaycı has trained apprentices at his workshop in Istanbul.
