İzzet Elitaş

İzzet Elitaş was born in Istanbul in 1966. After graduating from the Department of Islamic Law at El-Ezher University in Egypt in 1993, he taught with the Turkish Ministry of Education for 4 years, and worked as an professional Arabic tour guide. In 2002, Elitaş started learning sülüs nesih script from Hüseyin Kutlu, talik script from Ali Rıza Özcan at the Hekimoğlu Ali Paşa Applied Turkish Islamic Arts Library. In 2002, Elitaş obtained his professional license in sülüs nesih scripts from Hüseyin Kutlu; in talik, divani, celi divani scripts from Ali Rıza Özcan. Currently, Elitaş continues to work and teaches in Istanbul.
