İzzettin Yılmaz Başkar

İzzettin Yılmaz Başkar was born in Istanbul in 1973. He took painting and drawing class from Cemal Toy and İlhami Atalay. Başkar graduated from the Department of Painting and Graphic in the Faculty of Atatürk Education at Marmara University. He learned marbling (Ebru) from Fuat Başar, and calligraphy from Sinan Sinangil at the Süleymaniye Library. Başkar teaches marbling at Zeytinburnu Public Education Center and several primary schools. He also teaches marbling to autistic children at rehabilitation centers. Başkar has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey.
