Kamuran İşçan

Kamuran İşcan was born in Şebinkarahisar in 1956. She graduated from the Department of Architecture at the Ankara State Academy of Architecture and Engineering in 1977. She moved to Istanbul in 1978. She has had an interest in marbling art since she was a high school student. In 2003 she started learning marbling art from Ayla Makas at the Caferağa Medresesi. In 2004-2007, she worked with Gülden Gürdamar at the Ismek Yavuz Selim. Since 2007, İşcan has worked with Gülden Dürdamar at the Mavera Art Workshop. Besides teaching marbling art at the Caferağa Medresesi, İşcan works at her workshop Minebru Art House, which she founded with five other artist friends in Sirkeci, Istanbul. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Istanbul. İşcan currently continues marbling work in Istanbul.
