Mete Büyükaşık

Mete Büyükaşık designs silk products and weaves them on a hand loom. He and his staff continue to weave silk textiles like shawls and cloths, using traditional designs. They also make hybrid products using new designs. Büyükaşık has participated in many handicrafts fairs such as the Altın Eller Traditional Handicraft Festivals, which was held by Turkish Ministry of Culture, the Istanbul Handicraft Festivals, the Forum Fair Ankara Handicrafts Festivals, the Handicraft Festival, which was held by Municipality of Selçuk, the Izmir International Festival, and the Konya Handicraft Festival.
