Mithat Topaç

Mithat Topaç was born in Sinop in 1969. After finishing at Maçka Akif Tuncel Technical High School, he graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering in 1992. He worked in the private sector for a few years, and then started working as a free trader. Topaç began learning calligraphy from calligrapher Yusuf İzzeddin Sav in 2004. After learning rika and nesih scripts from him, Topaç learned sülüs and nesih scripts from Davud Bektaş in 2005. In 2010, Topaç obtained a professional license in sülüs and nesih scripts at a ceremony in IRCICA. He has participated in many group exhibitions and competitions, and received many awards. Topaç currently teaches calligraphy at the Başakşehir Municipality Bahçeşehir Development Academy.
