Müberra Pomakoğlu

Müberra Pomakoğlu was born in Kırklareli, Pehlivanköy district in 1967. She finished primary and middle school in Uzunköprü, and high school in 1984. She then started teaching handicrafts as a skilled master at the  Public Educational Center in Uzunköprü. Pomakoğlu has taught Edirne Public Educational Center and worked under the Akşam Art School since 1991. She has made many kinds of handicrafts, especially folk dolls and Edirne Mis soaps. She researched on them for a long time and learned how to make folk dolls and Edirne Mis soaps from skilled craftsmen. Pomakoğlu was invited to the National Radio and art programs on TV channels to introduce her works. She has participated in many regional fairs, which were organized by the Turkish Ministry of Education, in order to introduce local handicrafts in Edirne. As of today, she makes them and teaches at her handicrafts workshop.
