Müjgan Başköylü

Müjgan Başköylü was born in Eskişehir in 1963. She graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University in 1986. She learned Turkish decorative arts at the Prof. Süheyl Ünver Workshop and received her professional license in papercutting (kaatı / katı). She then worked for the papercutting group at the Ünver workshop, which was directed by Gülbün Mesara. Since 1997, Başköylü has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey. She had her first solo exhibition at the Beylerbeyi Palace in 2007. Başköylü currently continues working at the Turkish Decorative Art Center, belongs to the TBMM National Palaces.
