Mümtaz Seçkin Durdu

Mümtaz Seçkin Durdu was born in Tirebolu, Giresun in 1958. He finished his primary, middle and high school education in Zonguldak. He started learning calligraphy, especially rik’a and nesih scripts from Mustafa Acet in Ankara. Durdu then learned calligraphy from the master Hasan Çelebi, and obtained his professional license from the master in Erzurum in 1995. Since 1996, he has continued to work at his workshop in Istanbul. Durdu has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad.
