Münevver Sağlar

Münevver Sağlar was born in Kastamonu in 1940. She learned how to make traditional Kastamonu lace fringes from her mother. She has made these works by hand without using any tools. Since 1998, Sağlar has made lace fringes for decorating local cotton cloths, coverings and towels, and sold them at her son’s shop.
