Nermin Mumcuoğlu

Nermin Mumcuoğlu was born in Kütahya in 1973. After teaching at the university, she served as a tutor at Public Education Centers. In 1998 Mumcuoğlu founded her workshop and has been working there since then. She makes traditional Turkish clothes, folk costumes, covers and porches, embroidering them with traditional techniques. For the past 16 years, Mumcuoğlu has been awarded many times in this field. In 2007, she made new designs in the embroidery section of traditional Turkish Handicrafts, and received a title of an artist on traditional Turkish handicrafts from Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
