Nihan Gürakan

Nihan Gürakan was born in 1974. She started learning illumination art from Şahin İnalöz in 1998. Gürakan then participated in the Belmek course at Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to learn more about illumination art. In addition to it, she learned the art of marbling (Ebru) and miniature. Gürakan continues her work in an illumination course, which belongs to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Istanbul. As of today, Gürakan has been teaching illumination art at the Zerefşan Nakışhanesi for 4 years and works at her workshop in Pirinçhan in Ankara.
