Oğuz Ermeç

Oğuz Ermeç was born in 1967. He is the son of Ali İhsan Ermeç, who is the oldest living Meerschaum craftsman. Oğuz Ermeç started working as an apprentice beside his father when he was an elementary student and learned how to carve meerschaum stones. He finished vocational high school and developed his skill and art, and became a master craftsman. Meerschaum pipes with his special designs attract collectors both in Turkey and abroad.
