Ahmet Koçak was born in Elazığ in 1973. After graduating from the Department of Industrial Design in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 1998, he started working as a designer in the Istanbul railway company. He designed for the project of tramway. He then worked at Iston A.Ş., and designed for the project of city furniture. In 2001, Koçak learned sülüs script from Davud Bektaş and talik script from Prof. Ali Alpaslan. After the death of Prof. Ali Alpaslan, Koçak continued to learn talik script from Tahsin Kurt. In 2007, he obtained his professional license in sülüs script from Davud Bektaş and Hasan Çelebi. Koçak has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Currently, he continues his calligraphy in Istanbul.
