Fatma Sema Aldemir was born in Ankara in 1978. She finished primary and middle school in Ankara. She graduated from the Painting Department at Gazi University. Aldemir participated in a photograph seminar, which was organized by the Society of Ankara Photograph Arts and received a certificate of achievement. She specially paints horses in different techniques. Aldemir learned marbling (ebru) art from her father, Salih Elhan in her childhood. She also participated in an ebru class, which was organized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She makes ebru with different designs besides classic designs. Aldemir has participated in many traditional Turkish Decorative Arts Competitions, which have exhibited her works. She has a certificate of identity as an artist, which was issued by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Her works were exhibited in Turkey and abroad on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. As of today, Aldemir serves as a painting teacher. In addition to it, she also teaches marbling to young generations to introduce the art of ebru. |
