Sabri Mandıracı

Ahmet Sabri Mandıracı was born in Armutlu, district of Yalova in 1963. He graduated from the Philosophy Department at Istanbul University in 1984. In 1980, he began learning calligraphy from Prof. Dr. Ali Alparslan. He also learned the art of marbling (Ebru), and the art of Turkish book bindings. Mandıracı took an Ebru class from Mustafa Düzgünman and received a letter of sufficiency certificate to perform calligraphy and marbling from one of the two students of Necmeddin Okyay. Between 1992 and 1998, he taught calligraphy and marbling as a tutor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dokuz Eylül University. As of today, Mandıracı continues to teach philosophy.
