Serap Bostancı Tuluk finished primary, middle and high school in Istanbul. She is now a student of the public administration Department in Anadolu University. In 1986 she attended a class of traditional Turkish decorative art at Topkapı Sarayı Museum and received a certification in 1988. In 1999 she also obtained her professional license in “Rika” calligraphy. In 1996 Bostancı-Tuluk received an authorization for illumination (Tezhip) from Semih İreteş and obtained her professional license in "Sülüs" calligraphy from Hüseyin Kutlu. In 1998 She also received an authorization of “flowers and miniature” from Melek Antel. Since 1996 Bostancı-Tuluk has taught classes of traditional Turkish decorative art at the Topkapı Sarayı Museum and other culture workshops including Azref Ceramic Workshop, Gebze city, a cultural art center in Istanbul, and Akpınar Cultural Center in Bursa. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad since 1999. Bostancı-Tuluk currently continues her work in Istanbul.
