Sevim Kayaoğlu

Sevim Kayaoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1946. After finishing Pendik High School, she graduated from the School for Business and Economics in 1969. In 1983-1984 she participated in courses of illumination and miniature art, which were organized by Yapı Kredi Bank. She then attended the Turkish Decorative Art Illumination course at the Topkapı Palace Museum, and received her professional license in 1986. Since 1987, Kayaoğlu has taught illumination art at her workshop. She has also taught at the Restoration Department of the Vocational School, belongs to Yıldız Technical University. Since 1991, she has taught at the Vocational School of National Palaces and Historical Buildings belongs to Yıldız Technical University. Kayaoğlu has participated in various group exhibitions. She currently continues her work in Istanbul.
