Subhi Hindi Yerli

It is said that the art of filigree (Telkâri), a traditional handicrafts of the Mardin area, dates back thousands of years to the Mesopotamian era. 
Filigree is made with 0.25 micron silver thread by special technique. This art has been continued by craftsmen through the generations which have been influenced by the relations between masters and apprentices.
Subhi Hindi Yerli was born in Mardin in 1947. He finished primary school in Mardin. Since 1960 he has worked on gold and silver filigree.
