Suzan Tarakçı

Suzan Tarakçı was born in Rize in 1961. For 15 years she has been weaving traditional peşkir on her loom. Governor Generalship in Sinop offered her a position as an instructor in a weaving class. Since 2003 she has given weaving classes and training new weavers. In 2006 she got the first prize in the Handicraft Competition, which was held by Turkish Ministry of Culture.
