Yaşar Küçüker

Yaşar Küçüker was born in Yalvaç in 1939. After finishing primary school, he began building horse cars as an apprentice. Yalvaç is a town famous for its horse cars and their restoration. In this town he decorated horse cars with landscape paintings, flowers, birds. He worked as an apprentice and mentor until he went into military service. In 1961 he founded his own shop, however because of technological developments and an increase in motor vehicles, there was no more need for this occupation. Küçüker adapted to this new environment and began making miniature cars in order to preserve traditional horse cars while selling them to tourists as well.
