Yusuf Sezer

Yusuf Sezer was born in the Baltacak Village, Kastamonu in 1961. He graduated from Gazi Osman Paşa İmam Hatip High School. In 1972-1978 he learned calligraphy from hafiz Recep Berk, who was the chief muezzin of Nuruosmaniye Mosque. Sezer then continued learning sülüs, muhakkak, reyhani, icaze and tevkii scripts as well as tuğra from Hamit Aytaç. Sezer obtained his professional license in 1980.  He currently continues his work in Istanbul.
