Adnan Ataç

Adnan Ataç was born in 1954. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Istanbul University in 1975. He completed his Master’s degree in Pharmacology in 1983 and doctoral degree in the History of Medicine and Deontology in 1989. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Department of Medical History and Deontology. Ataç has had an interest in visual arts since his childhood. When he was a university student, he concentrated on taking photographs. He has held many solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and slide shows in Turkey and abroad.  His photographs have been published in many books, calendars, postcards, and brochures in Turkey. Ataç has received various awards in many photography competitions. He is a founding member of the Association of Photographic Art.
