Ahu Akkan was born in Ankara in 1980. After graduating from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 2003, she completed her Master′s degree in 2014 at the same university. She currently continues her doctoral degree, proficiency in arts, at her alma mater. Since 2009 she has been working as a research assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Uşak University. Akkan has held several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey.
