Alaettin Aksoy

Alaettin Aksoy was born in Trabzon in 1942. He graduated from the workshop of Bedri Rahmi at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1968. From 1972 to 1976, he studied painting in Paris. Aksoy had his first solo exhibition in Istanbul in 1969. Since then, he has had many solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions as well. He has received several awards. Aksoy taught at the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University from 1977 to 2005. Currently, he continues painting in Istanbul.
