Ali Arif Ersen

Ali Arif Ersen was born in Istanbul in 1958. He graduated from the Painting Department at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1985. He had an interest in photography and has focused more on photography than on painting. In 2001, Ersen published his first photograph book “Fotografı USA”. It was followed by two books: “Fotoğrafı Havana” (2003) and “Fotoğrafı Buenos Aires” (2004). He had his photograph exhibitions “Sarajevo” (2006), “Masallar” (2007) and “Tres Americas” (2010) at the Milli Reasürans Art Gallery in Istanbul. Ersen also shot photographs for Tomris Uyar’s short story book “Güzel Yazı Defteri” (Book of Beautiful Writing). He has had solo painting and photograph exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad.
