Ansen Atilla was born in Kayseri in 1978. He graduated from the Painting Division of the Faculty of Fine Art at Mimar Sinan University in 2003. He had his first solo exhibition at Galei x-ist in Istanbul in 2004. Next year, he had another exhibition “Resistant" (2005-2006) in which Atilla presented his unique look at a new hybrid between painting, sculpture and photography. His works have narrative aspects which don’t only relay on technical skill, but tell a story in them. Atilla has participated in numerous local and international group exhibitions: the Municipal Palace in Berlin (1997), “Young Expansions” at Pera Museum (2005), “artfair06” at the XXI Expo Centre in Cologne (2006), and China International Gallery Exposition in Beijing (2008). His works can be seen in private and public collections such as Grundfoss Inc., İş Bank Collection and Berlin Municipal Palace.
