Asli Özok was born in Ankara. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 2003. She completed her Master′s degree at her alma mater in 2006. Currently, she continues her doctoral degree at the University of Sevilla. Özok works as an assistant in the Painting Department at Mimar Sinan University. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and several international symposiums in Istanbul, Sofia, Chisinau, Lisbon, Sevilla, Nürnberg, and Chicago. Some of her works can be seen in private collections, foundations, banks and art galleries. She has received numerous awards in many international fairs and exhibitions such as the Accenture American Art Fair (2001), the restoration of St. Sophia Museum in Istanbul (2009), "Cultural Intersections" in the Terakki Foundation Gallery in Istanbul (2009), Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture, MKM in Istanbul (2010), Ateneo de Sevilla (2010), Lisbon Colorida Art Gallery (2011), and the International Art Biennial of Izmir and Biennial Internazionale dell′ Arte Contemporanea in Florence Biennale (2012). Özok continues to work at her private studios in Istanbul and Sevilla.
