Prof. Ayşegül Türedi Özen

Prof. Ayşegül Türeli Özen was born in Amasya in 1961. She finished primary, middle and high school in Istanbul. She graduated from the Department of Ceramics in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Marmara University in 1985. To study ceramics, she went to Ecole Nationale D’art Decoratif de Limoges in France for one month (1984), San Francisco State University for one semester (1988) and California College of Arts and Crafts (1989-1990). In 1986 she began working as an assistant at her alma mater.  She completed her master’s degree (1992) and efficient doctorate on art (1994) at the Social Science Institution of Anadolu University. Between 1986 and 2006, she has had 10 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She has published two books and many articles and participated in many conferences, talks and workshops. She received 6 awards as well. Prof. Özen continues to teach at Anadolu University.
